Clevelands Country House is a spacious Victorian home designed for bringing people together — ideal for multi-generational family holidays, group stays and relaxed celebrations on the Isle of Wight.
With generous living space, a large sociable kitchen and comfortable areas to unwind, the house works beautifully for groups who want to spend time together without feeling crowded. There’s room for shared meals, relaxed evenings and quieter corners when needed.
Sleeping up to 10, Clevelands is equally suited to smaller groups who simply want more space and comfort — you don’t need to fill every bedroom to enjoy the house.
For added flexibility, two one-bedroom apartments within the grounds can be arranged separately. These are ideal for grandparents, adult children or anyone who would appreciate a little more privacy while still staying close.
Open year-round, the house works just as well for summer stays — with terrace dining and nearby coastal walks — as it does for quieter autumn and winter breaks, including Christmas and New Year gatherings.
Guests book Clevelands for the space, the setting and the ease of being together — without the formality of a hotel or the compromises of smaller properties.
When you book direct, we can help with discounted car ferry travel — often making your overall trip better value from the moment you arrive.
Dogs are welcome when booking direct, making Clevelands a great choice for guests looking for a relaxed, dog-friendly stay with easy access to countryside and coastal walks.
As a characterful Victorian home, there are a few quirks, which we share openly in our Home Truths so you can book with confidence and no surprises.

Absolutely stunning. The bedrooms were lovely and big, the house was very homely and practical. Gorgeous views, we would definitely stay there again. The communication was fantastic, helped us with the ferry booking, they couldn’t have make it easier.

We had an absolutely wonderful stay at this house! The home is equipped with all the necessary amenities, including modern appliances, and it was warm and incredibly comfortable. The spacious rooms made our stay even more enjoyable, providing plenty of space to relax. The location is perfect—close to all the major attractions, which made exploring the area so convenient. Maria was incredibly kind and welcoming, always ready to assist and ensure we had everything we needed. Her hospitality truly made us feel at home. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a cosy, convenient, and enjoyable stay.
